I knew Lala (Dr. Dunbar) all my life and I saw first hand how she simply never stopped working for others and giving of herself so that others could live and learn. My family sends its deepest condolences to Sharon, Thad and Tim on the passing of a wonderful aunt; a "larger than life" supporter of New Orleans and its community; and a truly great woman.

I met Dr. Dunbar in 1991 when I joined the Charity Hospital Emergency department. I was inspired then and still am today by the passion she had for her patients and the medical field.
