Lambert Jay "Bert" Van Andel

Burt was brought into our lives when he purshased our home on Silver Lake. We became and remained good friends. Burt was a kind and generous man, we will surely miss him.

My dealings with Bert gave a clear statement that he was fully committed to his business and family.

I pray that both will be given strength in the days that follow to handle his passing, as we remember his life together.

We will certainly miss seeing Bert and his big smile.

Bert and I went back to the days when he owned the hardware in Ravenna, and was first starting his propane business. He provided me with work to enable me to buy my first welder, by me doing work for him on his equipment. This gave me a chance to improve my skills in the welding and repair field, eventually giving me a chance to make a better living.
