Not sure what to say?

Bert and Bertie will remain highlights of our life here in Los Gatos. We didn't have great gobs of personal visiting time, but for us they exemplified courteous, gracious, sometimes impish, always kind ways of being. We wish you, their children and grandchildren the most loving of memories.

Beste Irene en Franske,

Gecondoleerd met het verlies van jullie moeder. Heel veel sterkte de komende tijd. We zullen aan jullie denken.

Met vriendelijke groet,
Andrea Visscher Dorsman

Bertie was one of the first original Serge Avenue residents to greet us when we arrived in the early 60's and we spent many mornings with our coffee and cigarettes. My whole family will miss seeing your happy face.

Irene and Francoise - I'm so sorry to hear about your Moms passing. She was such a staple on our street. I recall her over to our house nearly every morning drinking coffee and smoking with my Mom. Christmas was always fun when we would make a trip to the Visscher house and hoped to find goodies in the shoes. Your Mom was so gentle and kind - she will be missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Irene and Fran and families-
Bertie and I had similar interests, and enjoyed time together at guild meetings, spinning, and walking together with our dogs.
I was always impressed with Bertie's gentle good humor, and the deep affection she had for all of you, her children and grandchildren.
Losing Bertie has been an ongoing journey. I hope you're left with the comfort of her love for you.

I would like to tell you how much your mother, grandmother, great grandmother touched my heart. My family spent many Thanksgivings with the Visscher's. I remember a beautiful, talented, caring, loving, peaceful "Tanta Bertje" and I truly will miss her. All my love goes out to the family.
