I spent a lot of time with the Lubchenco family growing up and they were a wonderful family. I admired LaMeta for never noticing she was disabled. My thoughts are with all her wonderful daughters who were some of the nicest people I ever knew.

My deepest sympathies go out to all of the Lubchenco girls. Your mom was a big part of my years at St. Phil's. We were lucky indeed to have her as our scout leader.I have MANY happy memories of our camping trips and our meetings in the basement at St. Phil's. I loved my friendship with all of the Lubchencos, especially you, Annette! I'm sure your mom lived life to the fullest. She was always a powerhouse. I know you will miss her dearly.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the Lubchenco family. I was fortunate to have LaMeta as my Girl Scout leader for several years. We felt so much safer on those winter trips to the lodges having a pediatrician and surgeon along with us!
Hello to Jane, Annette, Mary Lou, Peggy and Carolyn. I am in awe of all you have accomplished.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Lubchenco's kindness when we were in Girl Scouts at St. Philomena's. I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with LaMeta's family and her 10:30 Catholic Community, of which I was privileged to be a member. I remember my, then, husband and I bringing our new baby daughter Leah to church and LaMeta made a bee-line to us after Mass. Her smile, congratulations and adoration of our baby was such a loving, welcoming act. I was also privileged to see some of LaMeta's nativity sets and hear stories of the inspiring traditions behind them. Special love to Annette who helped...

Knowing LaMeta was a privilege that enhanced my life, my neighborhood, my family and my church. I will always remember her fondly and the smile and enthusiasm for life and learning that she showed. She was always eager to show her collection of nativities and explain their histories and stories of where she had traveled and how she obtained them. Just today I packed up two receiving blanket that LaMeta made with her loving hands for my daughters that will now be used by their babies. She...

The few times I visited Denver as a medical student, I visited Dr. Dah in her home. These visits and what I learned from Dr. Dahl helped me be a better person and physician. I benefitted as did the medical students I later taught, passing on some of her wisdom and inspiration.
Thank you, Dr. Dahl.
