Lana Walden Darling Eringaard

My sympathy to her partner and her daughter...I knew Lana many years ago...thru Marlene Beld Taylor and Ron Taylor. a very wonderful woman

I have such fond memories of Lana. They begin over thirty years ago when in her iconic quiet, classy style she welcomed me to the West Godwin teaching staff. She was ever the teacher. She introduced me to pears poached in wine at a dinner I shared with her and Bob. She introduced me to opera. We shared many years of annual subscriptions to Opera Grand Rapids and always met for dinner before the performances. Remembering Lana as the gracious lady who was my classmate at Central High School class of '54. May she have a joyous reunion with her loved ones who went on before her. Condolences to the loved ones who miss her.

It's obvious that Lana was the same quiet, thoughtful and wonderful person she was back in the Model A Ford days
at the Fulton Street farm. Blessings to her family.

Mrs. Eringaard was a wonderful teacher and taught many many students how to adore reading! I am one of them and much like her, I typically have more than one books on my nightstand. Love to family and friends!

Lana was at West Godwin when I started there - she was a model for how to really look at a child to see what their reading needs were and how to care for the whole child. Such a soft spoken yet adventurous person - I hope her spirit soars in Heaven!
