We met Lana Kay when we were neighbors for a while on Canyonside Trail. She was a remarkable person and will be missed by many.

I met Lana when I was 8 years old. She was my voice teacher and an amazing woman. She had such a strong passion for children and for teaching. My mom and Lana became great friends these past couple of years while Lana was there for my mom, and my mom was there for Lana. Lana encouraged people and lifted them up in time of need. She will be greatly missed by many people, but she is now healed and is with Jesus. She will be remembered by many and we will never forget her and how she touched so many peoples lives.

What a tragic loss for so many. Lana has taught our daughter, Deedee, private voice lessons for the last 2 years and there was an amazing bond between them. Lana had a gift unmatched that she so graciously shared with others. My daughter is devastated.

Lana Kay was my beloved music teacher in 4th and 5th grade at Highland Park in the early 70's. She was my favorite teacher ever and taught me the word "Pizzaz!" I have thought of her SO many times over the years... She was a wonderful woman who know how to help others be wonderful.
