Not sure what to say?

I've had a herobracelet with Lance's info since I was a high school sophomore in 2012, and I just decided to look up his name. I am at a loss for words with the number of coincidences I found today which brought me to view this webpage. Of all the herobracelets to choose from that day, I picked Lance's because I also wanted to join the Army at that time. I enlisted in 2014 and eventually commissioned/deployed, by coincidence, to the same location Lance passed -- I have always worn his...

Sgt. Chase was my first line supervisor. I spent almost a year with him. He was such a down to earth man. He had such a sense of humor and loved being in the tank. I will miss him and love to get into contact with his family to pay my respects and any other of his soldiers

To the family and friends of Staff Sgt. Lance M. Chase:
It has truly been my honor to sign Lance's guest book these past few years. Unfortunately, due to complications from my Multiple Sclerosis, this may be the last message I'm able to write. Please forgive me and know that Lance will always be remembered in my home.
With love and respect ~ Peggy

To the family of SSG Chase,
I met SSG CHase in Fort Hood Tx, while the 4th brigade was being activated. As a new soldier in the Army, and new to a little town away from hme for the first time, he took the time to always cheer me up and try to introduce me to activities and places on post like the education center. His sense of humor made the days in the HHC a little bit better and even PT fun. At the time SSG Holder and him were in charged of every new soldier and they both tried their...

To the family & friens of Lance, I offer my sorrow even though several years have passed, I thank him for his military service. May the pride you felt for him at his passing, continue to sustain you over the course of many years.

To the family and friends of Staff Sgt. Lance M. Chase:
Always remembering Lance. "Some gave all."

The flag is flying in the sky
A daily reminder of who and why
We sit here remembering them today
These heroes that now lie in their grave.

While here on earth, the bravest ones
A soldier, a mother, a daughter, a son
The father's who went far off to war
To ensure our safety and so much more

To keep our children happy and free,
Someone must do this job, you see
So, today remember the soldiers who served,
Because this is one...

I came across an obituary for Lance today while searching for members of my family on Google. Lance was my 3rd cousin. His mom, Dana, is my second cousin ( I have met her twice . Lance's grandfather Audrey and my grandmother Lottie were brother & sister. Kristen and Dana, I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember Uncle Audrey talking about Lance the last couple times I saw him. I am at a complete loss for words here. But after reading a few stories on the internet about Lance, I am so very...
