Not sure what to say?

I remember meeting Lance (7th grade) for the first time and noted that he seemed to look and act a little different than the rest of us. His hair was longer than the usual; his clothes did not come from Montgomery Ward like the rest of us; and he seemed to use a lot of open armed body guestures that showed he did not originate close by. Remember him saying that he (and particularly his mother) were very happy to move west from New York as the living environment there was not good. My early...

I can remeber Lance's first advise to me KISS, Keep it Simple Stupid!!, He taught me how to ride a motorcycle, I can also remeber the last thing he told me in 2005 , Ya done good kid , I;m sooo proud of you, this was at the Motorcycle show I was in at Timinouim , BEN

I was so sorry to hear of Lances passing. He was well thought of by all who knew him and he will be missed.

This photo captures Lance's beautiful smile and contagious laugh. It was found in an article about in the Laurel Leader dated 11/13/03.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Lance Swegart. I had the priviledge of singing with him in many musicals and choirs at GJHS. His beautiful voice and smile will be missed by all who knew him.

As a child, until I was 11, I lived a few doors down from Lance, Nancy and the twins. I would visit almost everyday to play with Leci & Kelly. They were (I'm guessing) about 7 years younger than me. The Sweigarts were such a big part of my childhood. I can not believe Lance is gone. Though we'd lost touch through the years, I've always thought about them. Lance was a wonderful, caring and compassionate man with an amazing voice. He will be truly missed.

Sorry to hear of Lances passing. We did a lots of things together in and after school. Please accept my condolences.

Lance & I were classmates at GJHS & did a lot of plays in drama and choir. My sincere condolences for your loss. I will contribute to the memorial fund.

As a member of the Grand Junction class of 1962, I will never forget Lance and his beautiful voice - he was the lead male singer in many of our plays and made each play such an enjoyment to be a part of - he will be remembered and my prayers go out to all of his family and extended family - what a voice, what a nice man!
