Not sure what to say?

Lani (Steverson) Henderson was my high school Chemistry teacher in 1970 and 1971 at Temple High School. She was a wonderful teacher and friend. She made Chemistry make sense! I think she was the favorite teacher of everyone. I was so happy for her when she married H.O. and had children. It was a joy to get Christmas cards every year and see a new baby. Sadly, we lost track over the past years and it is with deep sadness that I learn she has left this life way too early. I know she will...

Lani married my cousin H.O. Jr, and supported him and her family well. I have always been impressed by how she loved and served her kids. “You did a good job, Lani. Now you rest in what Jesus went to prepare for us. Presence, with Him and those who have trusted Him and gone on before us. The finish line is just the beginning!” Cory, I’ve always remembered sitting with you in a rocking chair when we visited you guys and you were a little guy. Funny how the years get by.

When I transferred to Jacksonville High School in 10th grade, I didn't know anyone. Lani befriended me and we became best friends through high school. Unfortunately I did not stay in touch after high school but I have many fond memories of those years we were friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. Pamela Salmon Mulhern

Lani was one of the kindest, most loving woman I knew. She loved her children and loved the children she taught. God must have needed a "special angel" in heaven.

That pictorial was so beautiful. Lani enjoyed her friends so much when we would gather but her family was her great joy in life. I know her memory is a joy for each of us who knew her. She is resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord.

Lani was one of the most amazing people I have ever known. I am so blessed that I was able to know her. I will miss hearing all her stories and the positive outlook she shared on life. She was always so thoughtful and thinking of others. She made every occasion better, just by bring there. Lani was a very special lady and will definitely be missed here on earth but I know she has added a new sparkle and bit of bling to Heaven as only she could. Prayers to her family and hope they find comfort...

Pretty in pink, brighter than bling, and smarter than most — Lani, I will miss you. I’m so glad to have shared the last 20 years of Friday dinners, church, special adventures, Fantasy Football, enjoying your kids and grands, and all your surprises and games. Thanks for adding “sparkle” to our lives.

On of the sweetest friends a person could have and a precious sorority sister. I will miss her dearly.

Lani was a cherished Sorority Sister who will be greatly missed. Our sincere sympathies to the family. Teri & Eric Ekblaw
