Lanny was born on September 26, 1939 and passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016. Lanny was a resident of Lawton, Oklahoma at the time of his passing. He was married to Beverly. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday September 13 2016 in the First Baptist Church Lawton with Rev. Dan Palesano Lawton officiating.Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Promise Care Hospice 4202 SW Lee Blvd Suite B Lawton OK 73505.

Lanny Edwards is known as a Legend to the entire racing community, and co-founded the only event that brings the entire "Racing Family" together under one roof, known as the Superbowl of Midget Racing.
