Not sure what to say?

Claudia and Family,
I offer my condolences for your loss. It was my great priveledge to know Lap as a friend and a great honor to be his tax accountant. It was always so wonderful to see you both each year. I wish you well and know you'll miss him greatly and I will say a prayer for you all.
Kindest personal regards,
John Kane CPA

Claudia,
Maggie and I just heard, we're so sorry for your loss and are thinking of you during this difficult time. Although we only knew you as neighbors in Governors Court for a short time, your love for each other was self evident and an example to all.

Claudia, You and Lap are a great love story, and that love will survive. Jerry and I will carry you in our prayers.

There will be many tributes, here and elsewhere, about what an accomplished, intelligent and insightful man he was. What is missing from those undoubted truths is that he was such a joyful man. I know that my Sherwin will be so happy to have his company. I can just imagine their conversations! Love you and thinking of you. My memories help me tremendously. Hope yours will do the same. Love, Mary Anne

Claudia, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Judge Hamblen was an amazing man and mentor, and I am blessed for the time I spent with both of you. So thankful for this summer's visit and moreover to know that he is with the Lord and at peace.

Dear Claudia,
Lap and my father were lawyers from the Old School who loved practicing law better than anything, and I believe we're all better off because of their devotion to their calling.

Long may their legacies continue!

Love,
Mary

Aunt Claudia,
Today as I look back I will always remember my Uncle Lap. Actually, he was the only relative that I ever addressed as "my Uncle." I always respected this man, my relative, my mother's baby brother, my friend and my Uncle. He told great stories, loved history, loved his country and took great pride in being an American.
One time when I was still 8 years old I was staying with his parents (my grand parents) up on Look Out Mountain. He was home for a visit with his parents...
