Not sure what to say?

My heart is very heavy when I think about the important work that Lara did on behalf of so many children and their families. I cannot imagine the sadness and feeling of loss that her family must feel. My prayers are to the healing gods. My prayers are for peace..

The Highest Form of Wisdom is Kindness

Like Rebecca Gratz- you devoted your life to others
Your reward intangible- never for gold or blue ribbons,
even your obituary requests no flowers
but donations instead -for abused children and animals.
But I had to tell you this Lara, after I saw that photo of you-
your fine features like Rebecca's, overshadowed by a white hat
kind eyes narrowing in bright...

My thoughts and heart are with the family. Rest in peace kind woman.

I knew Lara from when she worked at Burlington College in the early 2000's. I so appreciated Lara's quiet and friendly manner. Her humor always put a smile on my face, and I still use a little technique Lara taught me from her days as a masseuse. I am so sorry for all of Lara's family; from Tim, whom I knew from UVM, to their two girls, her parents, and her sister.

I was blessed to know Lara years ago when she was working as a massage therapist, before she went on to become a social worker...I remember her as a gentle, caring, generous, kind and gifted practitioner and person...I wish her family much love, support and light in dealing with this terrible tragedy..

Dear Bobbie and Alex
So so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I was so, so sorry to hear about this horrible tragedy. I remember being with Lara at Tel Yehudah when we were in our teens. She was such a genuine, fun and kind person and I have such fond memories of her. She will be missed by so many. My heartfelt condolences.

Extending my deepest condolences for your loss. I am praying for your family. -

Please take comfort in God's word: Psalm 116:15. Lara was one of His saints and surely is with Him now. I am a Social Work Supervisor with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families and my heart goes out to Lara's family and co-workers. We are deeply touched and impacted here in CT DCF by the tragedy of loss of one of our own. Continuing prayers! May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding be with you today and always. Peace, Marge Barretta
