Larry Ray Abbott, age 61, of Science Hill, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
Larry was born on May 24, 1959 in Somerset, KY to the late Timothy C. Abbott and Dorothy Marie Loveless Abbott. He was a self-employed Truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Singleton of Science Hill; his children, Brad, David, Melissa and Sunni; one brother, Eddie (and JoAnn Abbott) of Baldwin, MI; two sisters, Vivian Nevels of Somerset and Ruth McMullen of King Bee; seven grandchildren, Riley Abbott, Deagan Abbott, Baylor Abbott, Alexis Abbott, Jessica Daisy Hall, Emily Grace Roberts and Riley Dawn Cole; special niece, Malynda Alexander; and special nephew, Phillip Nevels; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Janice Shelton; and four brothers, Wilbur Abbott, Mitchell Abbott, Gilbert Abbott and Timothy Abbott.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Mounce officiating. Burial will be at Science Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Nevels, Johnnie Mercer, Joe Williams, David Nevels, David Williams and Jamie Alexander; Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
