Larry P. Anderson

Larry P. Anderson, age 57, of Coal Valley, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polycythemia Rubra Vera Foundation % The American Cancer Society. Larry was born October 11, 1953 in Geneseo, the son of Norruth and Marye Lou (Salzman) Anderson. He married Kathy D. Murphy on April 25, 1981 at the Augustana Chapel in Rock Island. Larry was employed for 29 years as a Security Specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal. His friends and family admired his strength and courage throughout his battle with an unforgiving illness. Those who knew him will remember him for his sense of humor and his love and passion for his family, music, and the Chicago White Sox.
