Bartels, Larry was born on July 26, 1945, and was born again February 5, 1972. A fellow teacher shared with him Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to learn of Larry's passing. He was one of my teacher's at Highland Christian School in Highland,In from 1967-1970. He was my favorite teacher and made learning fun. I have so many fond memories of classroom antics to eating all his licorice from his glove box in his car when we went on field trips and the surprise wedding shower after a field trip to the dunes.....trying to keep him away from the school until everything was ready. That was so much fun! We all loved you and will...

April 7, 1974, I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. This was due to Betty and Larry, taking me to church, while I was in their care. I was their first foster child and am so very grateful for the many things they taught me and I carried throughout these years. I am 60 now and married to a wonderful Christian man. We all will meet each other again in the heavens. I love you both Betty and Larry and thank you for showing me love through our Lord.

Betty, It was so good to see you and Larry at the GBC Thanksgiving service. I greatly appreciated your testimony and the chance to greet you both in the foyer after the service. I had been unaware of Larry's passing until David Steinfort mentioned it at a Men's Chorus rehearsal. As I reflect on that evening, it means so much that Larry put his hand on my shoulder to greet me. May God continue to bless you!

Loved to hear the children & grandchildren share at the memorial service, so special. Mr B was one of my favorite teachers!

Dear Aunt Betty , God bless you and give you comfort and peace. Jerry and Anneliesa Gaunt
