Larry Wayne Bast, age 73, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 in Louisville, KY. Larry was born June 7, 1950 in Mercer County, KY to the late Elmore Horace Bast and Annie Lucy Gilpin Bast.
Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran, a trucker driver and enjoyed motorcycles.
Larry is survived by two daughters, Karen Wilcher of Campbellsville, KY and Krystal Hunt of Louisiana; his siblings, Opal Satterly, Alvin Bast, Aubrey Bast (Mary Ann), Shirley Ann Bast Blackwell (Raymond), and Ricky Bast (Angie) all of Lawrenceburg; and Ronnie Lee Bast (Teresa) of Murry, KY; five grandchildren, Deatrick Wilcher, KamBren Wilcher, KamBryis Wilcher, KaDaycia Hall and Elizabeth Sanderson; a great grandchild, Addison Sanderson; and several nieces & nephews.
Including his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Bast and Marvin Gene Bast; and two half-sisters, Josephine Brewer and Bessie Mae Decker.
A memorial visitation will be held, Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 6 – 8 P.M. at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home.
