Larry W. Beard, age 74, Treynor, Iowa, passed away on his birthday Friday, March 8, 2013.

Larry was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1939 and joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1957 to 1960. He was united in marriage to Dianne J. LeMaster on April 9, 1960. He worked for over 39 years at Griffin Pipe, retiring as a Safety Supervisor.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Leland Beard, and mother, Dorothy Hart; and wife, Dianne, on September 3, 2010.

Survivors include sons, Michael Beard and wife, Cathy, of Treynor, Ronald Beard and wife, Janet, of St. Joseph, Mo.; daughter, Cathleen Barr and husband, Rod, of Maryville, Mo.; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; step-mother, Rosie Beard, of Rialto, Calif.; brothers, Thomas Beard and wife, Patricia, of Toledo, Ohio, James Beard and wife, Rose, of Pinellas Park, Fla., Ronald Beard and wife, Chris, of Hawaii; sisters, Rose Earwood and husband, Alan, and Renee Russell, all Hesperia, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family Tuesday, 2 to 3 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel followed by cortege to Memorial Park Cemetery for graveside services, at around 3:15 p.m. Military rites by Treynor American Legion Post 725. Memorials to St. Jude's preferred.

Larry you will be missed our condolences go out to the family. So many fond memories of both you and Diane. All the fun times we had years ago when you came up to Persia..
