To the Byrd Family,
It is hard to hear of your loss. Larry will be greatly missed. Just know that he is still in your hearts. I know he is still in ours.

It is hard to put into words how you feel when you loose someone close to you. He was like a brother to me. I coundn't go through the day without calling him or thinking of him. He was my buddy and my dearest friend. Since 1965 when I first met him he has been a dear friend. His entire family was dear to me. If there was a family function Larry knew he could come with or without an invitation. He was always there to help in any way he could. It was not a party until he got there. He may not...

We are very sorry to hear of Larry's death. While home fo Mardi Gras and Christmas we missed seeing him. We will always remember and love him.

OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH EACH OF YOU

Larry Byrd has always been apart of my family as long as I can remember. The day we lost him was the day, I know Miss Heart of Mary (my mother) lost a piece of herself, that was her best friend and nobody made my mother laugh like Larry. He was always there for her whenever she needed him and I know our lives will never be the same without him. I'll miss his laughter and his smile. There will never be another one like him.

To everyone who has ever traveled "The Avenue", we have lost a legend and one of our own. How wonderful the memories of the parties at the "Byrds"!! The last time I saw Larry we danced at the Elks. He was the Champion of Swing! I hadn't seen him in years but one thing for sure.....he was still Larry Byrd. Tonie and Dianne, you have my deepest sympathy. Love to you and your family.
HOM '68 Graduate.....

I was very saddened to learn of Byrd's death this morning. I have a lot of "GOOD" memories of the times we shared going back to high school days, he at Central and I at Heart of Mary. I'm going to miss seeing him when I come back to town.
