Cox Collins Funeral Home - Mullins Obituary

One of The Lord's strong and reserved gentlemen has died. Larry Capps, a resident of Marion his entire sixty-four years, succumbed to complications from an illness on October 13, 2015, some three weeks after his wedding to Linda Bailey, currently of the home.
Larry is also survived by his three sons--Kevin, Keith, and Mathew; Grandchildren Kolby and Kellan; a devoted Brother, Ronnie of Charleston, and a cherished Sister, Lynn Capps Gordon of Pamlico.
Larry was one of those rare individuals who truly only worked in order to live and to play, which was, for him, hunting, fishing, NASCAR, and cooking for his friends and families. He will be missed greatly by those men who joined him each morning for 5:00 am Coffee and conversation in downtown Marion.
Larry's life was greatly enhanced by his dear friend, Mrs. Mary Batson, of Marion, and his Uncle Jack Duncan, of Washington. Larry will be laid to rest beside his dear mother, Maxine Duncan Capps, who he deeply loved.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 17, from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. in the fellowship hall of Marion Baptist Church in Marion.
Funeral services will follow at 3:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary of Marion Baptist Church, with Rev. Stan Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
