Brenda - As you know Larry and I were friends early in life. Our families vacationed together and one trip was especially exciting. Our dads (Don and Clifford) had brought a small boat and we were fishing just off the beach not more than a few hundred yards out. Larry, Melvin and I were with them. One of the smartest and mission-dedicated general officers I ever worked for - he led by example. He was the same at Raytheon and the Space & Rocket Center. Larry was also someone that took care of his people. I know, I was one. RIP, sir. It was an honor.
