Not sure what to say?

When I was asked a few years ago, to name three people who had influenced me the most, Larry was one of the three. He gave me so many happy memories, canoeing, snorkeling, hiking, cooking, and taught me a new appreciation of the out of doors,
His kindness to all and his love of family and friends, good sportsmanship, and a love of life were a joy to all. He will be eternally loved and never forgotten.

Dear Larry,
What a joy it was to talk and laugh with you. Those days on our red clay courts of bayview playing doubles with the old guys were some of the best days of my life. If we were playing and you were not there someone would always wonder if you were going to show. It was better when you were there.
I'm going to miss you Ol' friend.
God Bless you.
p.s. Thanks for the letters.

Dear Don, Bruce and all the Caton Family,
When I settled in Pensacola after completing U.W.F., one of the most important things to me was to be accepted witihin the Pensacola Tennis community. Larry contributed significantly to that acceptance. To Larry, if you really loved the game of tennis, you had his instant support and friendship. He loved to joke and kid with me back in the early 1970's at Roger Scott, but he also let me know that he liked my dedication to the game. I never got to...

To the Caton Family: I am deeply saddened by the loss of your brother. Larry was such an inspiration to youth tennis in the Pensacola and surrounding area. He coached my youth team 34yrs ago, and we were tops in the city. He would always joke with me about alligators on Coldwater Creek. One day there really was about a ten-footer laying on the bank, and he was the quietest one in the group. RIP my good friend. Pensacola has lost one of its finest tennis pioneers.

Dearest Bruce and Sue,
Thinking of you during this sad time. Bruce, you were such a wonderful brother and friend to Larry. I'm sure that the special times you spent with Larry made his life so happy. Take joy in your memories and the love you shared.
Love, Jeri and Walter

Dear Larry,
Thanks for the tennis lessons at Bayview and at Sally Turner's. I can still see you gliding across the court, knees slightly bent, returning the ball so effortlessly. I enjoyed all the letters reminiscing about the 50's, your favorite movies and songs and your Sunday lunches at Carnley's with Don and Bruce that were so special for you. From your strong faith, which you freely expressed, I'm sure you are in heaven, now, teaching the angels a smooth backhand. God bless.

Many fond memories as a teenager playing doubles with Larry and the "old guys" on Bayviews red clay courts. Those times were special (as were the many stories told) and are missed to this day.Larry's kindness and contagious laugh will be with us always!
Sincere Condolences,
Alan Ferguson

Larry was a blessing to all of us, and we were so privileged for him to be a part of our lives. If we each had one fraction of his kindness, would a truly wonderful world this would be! He lived life to its fullest
and enriched us with his presence. Bruce, Don, Sherry, and Win, I love and am thinking of you all. Marion (Woods) Mcknight

Such sad news; I have great memories of Larry on and off the court. It was amazing to watch him effortlessly hit the ball more precisely than a ball machine. He will be greatly missed by all who him. My sympathy to his family.
