Timmy, Chris, and Ms. Clary,
I talked to my mom yesterday and I was very surprised and saddened when I heard. Coach Clary was one of only a few people I think about when anyone mentions Blackstone or Kenston.
He was a very important part of the school and the community for many years. My time playing sports at Kenston will always be memorable because we won games; and we won games because of him.
I remember talking to Mark Hazelwood about...

To the Clary Family,
Mr. Clary was simply the best, great Coach and great Principal. However he was a much greater person. York Academy was a great place to be when he was there. I only wish my son could have a coach, principal and mentor like Mr. Clary. God Bless

I am so sorry to learn of Coach Clary's passing. I know he was a loving husband, devoted father and revered mentor to many. He was loved by his players and respected by his opponents. He always seemed to get us with his ingenious "trick" plays(I never felt so dumb as the time he got us with "huddle play" on the first play of the game). It would have been fun to have played for him. Please know that our family grieves with you. You have our deepest condolances and prayers.

It is a sad day for anyone who ever had the privilege to know Coach Larry Clary. He was the definition of a true mentor to many of us at York Academy as he taught us to be better athletes and better students. From 8th grade to 12 grade , I was fortunate to play sports for him and all my teammates and I respected and gave 110% effort for him in games and practice.I regret not seeing him in recent years , but I continue to have fond memories of Mr. Clary and my years at York Academy.
