Larry Davis

Larry was the only reason Tommy was able to remain at home during his illnesses. Tommy told me more than once of his gratitude and also what a good cook Larry was. Larry won a place in my heart for those reasons and also for being such a wonderful human being.

He was my last tangible link to my beloved cousin Tommy, and I miss them both so much.

Larry was kind enough to share Pee Wee with Tommy. I hope Pee Wee has found a good home.

Larry and I had known one another for 48 years. There's a picture of Larry in the dictionary of my heart; an illustration which defines "True Friend".

I also worked at Deibel's with Larry. He was always the bright spot of the place - ready with a joke, a smile, kind words - and hard work, even when the place was packed on a Saturday night with all the crazy Esther-ites! (If you were there in the 70's - you know exactly what I mean.) I'm sure Larry is chuckling at the flashback now and in good company with Tom and his parents. Many fond memories of Larry will stay with me always.

The Grandview part caught my eye since I never knew Larry's last name but as I read on, I came to realize this was one of the nicest men I've ever known. He worked with my mom at the Red Door and I was a young teen cleaning tables there while he churned out the eats in the kitchen with "Bird." He never had a bad thing to say about anyone and we had a blast when we saw each other at the Tina Turner concert! Larry was one of a kind and his genuine, loving spirit will be greatly missed. Love...

It was such a shock to learn of Larry's passing. I ment Tom & Larry when I first moved to Columbus back in 1970 and we became fast friends. God bless Larry as he was always there to lend a helping hand whenever anyone needed him He will be truly missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Larry's death. I worked with him at Deibels for many years and he was always fun and upbeat. He was a kind and gentle man, with a great sense of humor and a strong sense of who he was. He was always ready to cheer us up with a quip, or better yet, a cheese plate! He will be missed so much.
