Not sure what to say?

I just discovered that Larry passed away..I was a member of the jazz band at Bowie State University in 1987 I was a social work major and Larry was very patient and very instrumental in my music development in playing electric bass guitar. Deepest condolences to the Davis family.

I just discovered this memorial. We taught together in DC. He was band teacher i was the choral music teacher and our rooms were next door to each other. I lost track if him i guess when he moved to florida after retirement but will really miss his sense of humor and his band kids will miss him too! RIP Mr Davis!

Sad to hear of Larry's passing. Sending prayers & blessings to Betty & family at this time of grief.

I met Larry through the African American Club. He was a gracious and humble man who did all he could to help any one to be the best they could be. His spirit will live on through all those who love him as well as who knew him.
Rest well Larry for you have earned your place in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

I met Larry in 2010 as a member of the Jordan Pk Nostalgic Assn. He came home to attend our 1st annual banquet. He was a gentle giant always a big smile; his trumpet was a part of him. We will miss Larry but know that he now plays in that heavenly choir. We offer peace and comfort to Larry's family and many friends.

I will miss you my brother. Blow your trumpet in Zion where God resides in rhe heavenly band
You are a Patriot in our family. We will carry the torch!

I will miss you truly my brother. Blow your trumpet in the heavenly band. You are a Patriot in our family. We will carry the torch!

No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. However, take comfort in knowing God is with you and your family lean on him in your time of need. Please accept my most heartfelt condolences.
