E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc. Obituary

Larry Dwayne Dial, 57, was born May 15, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri.  He departed this life on Thursday, January 25, 2018.  Larry was preceded in death by his father Sunny Nelson, mother, Betty Dial; brother, Andre Dial and a nephew, Jalyn Black.

Larry graduated from Southeast High School in 1978. From there he attended Arizona State University.  He joined the United States Army where he served a number of years.  He also attended Washburn University in Topeka, KS where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling.

Larry united with Friendship Baptist Church in November 2010, where he served as a willing worker.  He served as an Usher, Sunday School Teacher, The Adopt-A-School Ministry and was a member of the Male Choir.  Larry was a faithful volunteer for many years at the 43rd Street Boys and Girls Club.  This was the organization which was near and dear to his heart since as a young boy he too received valuable life lessons and skills.

Larry was united in marriage to Elizabeth Dial from 1986 to 1991.  He married Sheila Williams in 2014, and remained until his untimely passing.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Sheila Williams-Dial; brother, Gordon Dial, Parrise (Barbara) Dial; special nieces, Shenice Bruce and Adrian Dial and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Mr. Dial will held 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 5, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor James A. Terrance, Jr. officiating.  Private Disposition.

Not sure what to say?

Cousin Larry

A link in our family chain has once again been broken with the loss of your earthly presence. The memory of you will now have to live in the hearts of each one of us who truly loved you. I am holding steadfast to the last time I saw and spent time with you and the laughs and smile you had on your face. Rest in peace my dear cousin until we link up again.
