Not sure what to say?

Mr. Edge was my lesson teacher at Panola. An amazing man and mentor he was and the impact he created is going to last a lifetime.

Mr Edge was a great musician. I met him in Shelbyville when my Son Shaka Hawkins worked with him. Continue praying for the family and friends.

I always loved Mr.Edge. He was a great man that, even though hard and blunt sometimes, truly cared about every student that came through the band hall. He demanded excellence but only because he knew all of the students that he had were capable of it and more. He's going to be very missed.

Mr. Edge was the best private lesson teacher that I had while I was attending Panola College and was part of the Panola College Band. I was a flute player and I was a handful but he managed to improve my flute playing. I will truly miss him.

Mr. Edge quite literally reshaped our entire musical program at Shelbyville Independent School District. He had high standards and made you better. More to the point, you wanted to be better because of him. I was a solid clarinet player, but certainly no prodigy. He worked with me every week after school, sometimes multiple days. He even offered to continue working with me in college to help me get into the program at SFA as a bass clarinet player, but my interests had shifted by then. ...

We have fond memories of Larry, Diane and Lindsey when they lived across the street from us in Pittsburg. He had a quick wit and he kept us laughing. Good times. Prayers for the kids and grandkids at this difficult time.

Mr. Edge as we knew him would come to Kilgore after school and teach my son saxophone lessons. He was a great teacher and friend we will sure miss him.

Larry was a great friend, colleague and teacher! We will miss him at Panola College!
