Larry was a true friend. He would ask me to go on road trips through Kentucky and the Southern States to visit the many folk artists he befriended. I always had to remove the mound of cups and fast food wrappers on the passenger side floor before getting in the car! He is an icon in the history of Kentucky folk art and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
