Not sure what to say?

You were a great teacher, and always full of laughter. Thank you for the inspirations you gave to so many of us who had the opportunity to be your students. You will be greatly missed and you'll always be know as "Mr. Hallum" when spoken of. RIP Mr. Hallum.

Helpful to me & great with the students.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Hallum's passing. I never had him as a teacher at Arvin High but I did get to know him well through the Arvin High Alumni Association. He was passionate about helping all the students at AHS. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Condolences to his family and friends.

A wonderful teacher with a kind caring heart that I'm blessed to have known.I send my condolences to the remaining family.R I.P. Mr Hallum

Mr. Hallum was one of the kindest souls that ever existed on this earth. I had the privilege of being in the last Senior class that he had before he retired. After I graduated, in 2004, I worked as scorekeeper for the football games at Arvin High so I continued to see him at home games for a few years more. His greetings to me were always the best. It was always a "hello, darlin'. How are you?" joined with a hug and a kiss. There will never be another Mr. Hallum. God truly gave us the best...

So much has been said about my cousin Larry, but there are really not enough superlatives in the English language to do justice to him. As I have posted before he was the friendliest, most positive, most uplifting person God ever put on earth.

Larry Hallum you will be so deeply missed. I still can't believe I am reading your obituary. I always thought you were invincible. You were such and amazing teacher but most of all a dear friend. You always made me feel so special. I'm going to miss seeing you on Facebook. Love you, Karen Fink
