I remember Larry Klausch from 1965 at middle school as a kind music teacher. He recommended me to play one of the Von Trapp children for a musical performed by the Oshkosh High School Acapella Choir and Band. I was then fortunate enough to join the Acapella Choir as a Sophomore the following year. God be with him.

Larry was my choir director for three years at Oshkosh High School. I appreciated his encouragement during those years. He will surely be missed by those he touched in all aspects of his life.

I knew Larry in many of his life's roles. The memory that came to mind when I read of his passing was enjoying rides in his convertible in the summer zipping around Oshkosh. Rest in peace my friend.

Larry was my friend, my mentor and teacher, and pretty much the brother I didn’t have. He was the choir director and organist at church, and then became my organ mentor. He encouraged me to take part in church services, undoubtedly long before I was really ready. When Terry and I moved around the country and world, I knew I could call Larry for help with various church issues. Over the past few years, Larry expressed a desire to plan his own funeral.
