Dr. Larry J. Laber

Larry was a man of many talents and interests, keenly interested in sampling all the world had to offer. Dottie, his wife, was with him every step of the way on their journey, and I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I would meet Dottie and Larry for breakfast or lunch in Brewer and have lovely chats, covering a wide range of topics, from adventures of their visits to the western U.S., to the wildlands of Alaska, to the politics of the day. I know Larry as a most modest man, a man of great curiosity and compassion. first met Larry as his supervisor at his first internship in the MSW program. It was a great joy to mentor Larry during those years and afterwards to just enjoy our few meetings in Portsmouth, NH. He and Dorrie would go to the dentist every 6 months in Portsmouth. So, I'd drive from Massachusetts and meet them in the NH liquor parking lot and we'd have lunch. I will miss you Larry and I hope you well Dottie....
