I'm posting this on 3 Sep 2021. Larry and I were best friends while we were in the Army together. We shared a house with our two other buddies in Colo Springs in 1973. I met Brenda his future wife then at the church we went to. Larry and I were part of a rock band that toured the US for Army Recruiting. We lived a life time of experiences together then and had a friendship that became more like brothers. I'm sorry you are gone now my dear friend, but I will see you again one day, and we will...

I MET LARRY WHEN HE WAS ONE OF THE SHANTELLS. HE WAS THE BEST MAN AT MY WEDDING. ALTHOUGH THE MILES HAVE KEPT US APART MEMORIES OF HIS KINDNESS, LAUGHTER AND FRIENDSHIP WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART. YOU'RE TRULY AN ANGEL NOW

I knew Larry through my parents, Don and Myra Peckenpaugh, the times we were around them it was some of the most memorable times of my life. He will be greatly missed.

For all of us who knew and loved Larry, it gives me some comfort that I knew one of the truly sweetest beings on earth. Always that quick smile and warm personality...what a lovely person. When I leave here, I pray I will be going in the same direction as Larry and I hope to see him again. Rest in peace my friend.

I did not hear about larry until yesterday, to late to make any travel plans. I met Larry when I was 10 years old and could write a book about our times and adventures. Good bye my friend, I will truly miss you.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sorry I was unable to make it to the visitation. The roads started to get bad so I turned around and went back home.
