Not sure what to say?

Dear Judy and Family,

I recently heard of Larry's passing and wanted to express my sympathy to you and your family. My parents, Ruth and Carl Dahlen, were dear friends of Dode and Rodger for years, starting out down the street on Marlowe, in Detroit. Dennis and Larry were the light of their lives. I connected briefly with you at a book signing in Glen Arbor a few years ago and so enjoyed "catching up" with Larry. I have read the obituary and wasn't surprised to see that he was...

Judy and family - Larry is forever etched for us in a moment of high celebration at your cabin on the shores of Lake Huron, his face beaming along with ours, under a smiling summer sun, as Chris and Barbara took thier vows. You may recall a brief summer rain preceded the event, but threatening skies gave way at the appointed hour, and celebrants were all bathed in the golden late afternoon light as the handsome groom proudly kissed his lovely bride. We wish you , Larry, John, and Rick and...

Judy,
When we hear the name Larry Lavercombe, we think of the NCS softball team the year we went all the way! Our most heartfelt sympathy go to you and your family. He was loved by all he touched and we are blessed to have called him "friend". Ron and Cindy Grass

Dear LaVercombe family,
We never knew your Larry other than in passing at Priya and Lucia's basketball games, but we feel that through the wonderful, deep and caring friendship between Lucia and Priya, we've received in some way her grandfather's blessings. This is a poem my mom gave her 19 year old kid heading off to school in London and I still find it comforting when faced with difficult turns in this mysterious journey we're on. May God's love surround and engulf you always:

Izzie & family

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time.

Dear Judy and family,
I have such fond memories of you and Larry and all our good times, especially with our dinner group. What a good sport dear Larry and all the guys were when we made them play charades because the girls almost always won. Your strength will carry you through these painful days and you have so many wonderful memories to draw on. You and your wonderful family are in my prayers. Love, Pat

Larry, Andre, et al.
So so sad to hear about the death of your dad (and grandfather, Andre...)
Our thoughts are with you at what has to be a most difficult time...
Barb and Neil

Dear Judy, Life is composed of so many memories, some good, some almost too sad to endure. I hope in time, the memories of the good times will help you find peace. I am happy to have been part of a very happy time, our trip to Tuscany, Italy. Getting to know you both was a pleasure and there was never a group like ours. You welcomed Jean Katkov, Shirley Hafermann and I into your group with genuine open arms. I will never forget Larry's wit and laid back sense of humor. I grieve with you...

My thoughts are with the family. I hope you find comfort in your memories and in the legacy of kindness, laughter, and strength you've been given.
