Not sure what to say?

Larry, Chris

I just learned that you left us. Nothing I can say but that I loved you and enjoyed being around you. You brightened this world and were the essence of professionalism, especially given your world was swimming in the public and political arenas. Your closeness with your family - and friends - sublime, really.

For over 20 years my office was kitty-corner from Larry’s and I’d see him almost every single work day. His sense of humor was the best – when he, Bob V. and I would take a break, laughter would always be heard. Who could top whom But then when he was preparing for a presentation at a Planning meeting, his serious side would take over, naturally. And he was not to be disturbed. Throughout all those years his love for his family, his dogs and golf was always evident.

I remember running track at Troy High Shool with Larry. He was a great athlete and leader. After reading about his life and family, he had left a wonderful legacy.

To Larry’s Family,
I’m in Florida for the winter and just heard and read about Larry’s passing. He was one of the nicest professionals I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Always courteous and helpful. He will be missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. May all your memories of him be for a blessing.

Larry was one of the best people I've known. He was smart, kind, funny, and, most importantly, thoughtful. I had many meaningful and thoughtful conversations with him and some great laughs. I know this: If there were more Larrys in this world, it would be a hell of a lot better. I'm going to miss him.

I worked at the Township with Larry for many years. He was such a kind and caring man that always treated others with respect and compassion. He will surely be missed by many Condolences to his family

Larry was a consummate professional. I enjoyed working with him while on the board and consulting with him in business. Golfing with him was always a pleasure, his even temperament set him above the game and the competition. We spent many a round talking about his son while he served our country. Always a kind soul...

Carrie and I would like to offer our deepest condolences to Chris, Nick, and Steve and the rest of the family. I will always cherish the good times that Larry and I shared, on our trips "Up-north" to Lost Lake Woods, or the couple visits we made to Cleveland to attend Brown's games. In addition there were the numerous dinners we ate at "Heros" after Wednesday golf. Dinners always came with a cocktail or two. One of my favorite remembrances were all the Fund Raising Golf Outings that Larry...
