Not sure what to say?

First met Larry at Cummings HS. Great athlete, loved to work out. Will always remember his smile. Thanks Marine for your service. God bless you and your family.

Didn't know you personally, but I seen your passing on a USMC site, and just want to say Semper Fi, my brother in arms and fare winds RIP

I met Larry when I was a teenager and first walked in to a gym. For over 20 years, I looked up to him and looked forward his friendly smile every time I saw him. We talked, as Larry did with many, about training and lifting. He never failed to ask about my son, and his warmth and love for those around him was an example for all. I will miss seeing Larry, but carry his memory with me every time I hit the gym door. Rest easy, my friend.

I was sadden to hear that Larry had passed away. He was Larry Leon to me and I was Betty Jean..All my Prayers go out to the Family and all his Friends .He...

He became a wonderful friend and confidante, freely offering his training expertise and advice and attending every one of my bodybuilding shows in NC. He was regarded as one of the best trainers in the area and mentored many younger competitors. Despite life’s many challenges, Larry always greeted you with a wonderful smile and upbeat attitude. I went to High School with Larry at Cummings and he was such a joy to know and so funny and he was like a teddy bear you just wanted to hug him. And oh that smile he was always with a smile. I am heart broken that he is gone too soon. Praying for his family that God bless and help them thru this hard time...

His infectious smile and laugh in the gym will be sorely missed! Thank you Larry for proudly serving our country in the Marines! God’s speed my wonderful friend!
