Not sure what to say?

Larry was one of my many boyhood friends until we scattered after our college years. We were athletes, students, and friends. He certainly made an impact on this world.

Oh Dr. Maukonen my heart is broken as I found out about your passing. You were a wonderful doctor and a wonderful listener. You helped me through my Arnold chiari issues and I couldn't be more grateful, you were a bright and shining light for me. I couldn't have been in better care with anyone else. Thank you so much Dr Larry

I am saddened to read of Larry's death -- my childhood friend. Growing up in a small Ohio town, Larry and I were part of a close group of friends who did a lot of things together -- youth baseball, high school football band, summer swimming in Lake Erie, high school activities, etc. We all scattered after high school to different colleges to pursue our professional and career interests. Larry's death brings reality to those of us in life's 4th QTR.

Cathy, Thinking of you and remembering how devoted you were to Larry and your family. Although it has been a very long time since we have seen one another you are remembered fondly. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to see Dr. Maukonen had passed. He was my physician for several issues for over 25 years. After treating me for 1 1/2 years for severe dizziness with nothing working to stop it, he looked me in the eye & said "Have you considered changing your hair color"? I'm blonde so the "dizzy blonde joke" was hilarious (he was brave to say that, wasn't he). May God give you peace & comfort.

When I was a child in Larry's neighborhood, I knew he was attending college to become a doctor. My friend Pam fell, and I thought her arm was broken so I ran to get Larry. He took her to the hospital and indeed, she suffered a compound fracture. He was the hero of the neighborhood kids. Lois, his sister, remains as one of my cherished friends. My sincere condolences to your family.
