A dear friend and mentor for 35+ years. I'll miss you, but I celebrate your life.

Indeed what a loss. But so much to celebrate! He told great stories because he lived them so abundantly. But his stories were only the beginning. He would tell them with great enthusiasm. Then his eyes would twinkle. He would raise his eyebrows with anticipation of a response. Then he would break into that grin that was worth a million bucks. A grin that he shared with so many of us through the years. Blessings, my Friend.

Describing Larry McTavish in less than a small novel is nigh impossible. He was a great man - someone who challenged me, motivated me, taught me, led me, and shared with me. My life would be far less rich had I not known Larry for the last 13 years. Larry will always live in my heart, and in my memories.
Godspeed my friend, I hope there are red stags for you to stalk in heaven.

40 years ago I had the privilege of meeting Mr. McTavish, and continued this friendship to this day. He was a guiding light and mentor to me. Always a gentle word of encouragement regardless of the situation. His wisdom insight and sense of humor touched many people.
He set a standard that I used to model my own life, but will probably never attain.
The world is a better place because of him! We lost a great man but his mark should live on thru all he touched!
May...
