Larry James Nichols, 49, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2003. He was a member of Sylvan Hills Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea Hale Nichols; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Nichols, both of North Little Rock; mother, Burmell Taylor, of Conway; three brothers, Gerald Nichols, of Little Rock, Ray Nichols, of Mayflower and Edward Nichols, of Lebanon, Missouri; sister, Wanda West, of Atkins; father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Verna Hale, of North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Ann Nichols; father, Willie “Bill” Nichols; and sister, Betty Hill.

Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 11701 I-30, Little Rock, AR 72209.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Robert Wingfield and Brother Roy Buttrum officiating. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170, online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.

I knew Larry from being in the children's home that we were in a long time ago. He was an avid Star Trek fan. He has left the surley bonds of this planet now. Godspeed Larry.

My name is Judy Ann Puff. I am the grand daughter of Jesse Ray Nichols, Larry's uncle. I just recently found that line of family while doing some genealogy work.
