Larry was my next door neighbor for nearly 25 years - best neighbor I have ever had. Kind, considerate, helpful and honest. We shared a love of country and often discussed politics on our front lawns. He was a wonderful person and when he and Anna moved, I felt quite sad. Larry was my next door neighbor since I was 5. He was always kind to me and was a great person. He was also my priesthood advisor, and never got frustrated with my lack of athletic ability. It was always entertaining to watch a ward basketball or softball game with him. I send my condolences to the Ott family, my old neighbors and friends from years ago.

What a character! Larry made my youth so much more fun. I knew that if we were going hunting or fishing with Larry Ott it was going to be an adventure. One way or another. I am lucky to have some of the best memories of my life shared with this man. He is a giant in so many ways. I saw him referee church basketball games, run the stake field day and help organize the ward roadshow all before I turned 8 years old.
