Thank you for your kind words about my dad. He is missed very much and was one of a kind!!

I worked for Larry when I was a kid at the House of Pizza in Dolton, I also helped him at the Friar Tuck's Pizza place in Park Forest, circa 1976. I also had him as a substitute teacher at Thornton Township High School in Harvey. So I knew him pretty well, always liked him and respected him and am sorry he is no longer with us. The last time I saw him was probably 12 years ago at a gas station in Alsip, I will always appreciate his friendship and mentoring!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Larry was an inspiration for young entrepreneurs. My family became friends with him when he began Friar Tucks, followed him to Some Place Else and one of my daughters worked for him. I engraved the salad bar's signs. My husband, Carroll passed away in 1985, Larry helped us with the luncheon at the restaurant. He was a kind, loving and generous man. I've been gone from Park Forest since 2003, and lost contact. Miss you Larry-Zane started school! On his first day I was walking back to the car and there was a beautiful butterfly sitting on the handle of Zane's car door. I can't help but wonder if you had something to do with that. We love and miss you forever......

I miss you more everyday dad, and still wish I could call to just say Hi. Lilys getting so big. I love you so much! Hope you were pleased with your party! XOXOXO Life will never be the same....

Larrys kindness and love will be missed dearly. I know that his spirit will resonate through generations as he was magical that way. A true matriarch.

We were very good friends with Larry at WIU and lost track of him. We were just thinking about him this week. So sorry to hear about his death. We have so many great memories of Larry! Our email is [email protected].
