Larry was a idol as a young basketball player in Jr. High. I could not wait until Friday night to watch Larry play. He was a Great talent.

Larry was a great athletes, both ability wise and intelligence wise.He was part of my family in the early years. He was our shortstop in the Northeastern Michigan adult baseball league. We even brought his cousin Mike Rea on to the team.We we´re friends for many yrs. We drifted apart when he moved to the GR area.We made contact every now and then.I was his coach and at times his mentor, but more importantly we were friends. My prayers to his family durning these difficult times. Coach Plecas

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to Larry's family and friends... Back in high school he gave us so many great moments watching him, whether it be on the basketball court, the football field,or the baseball diamond. He was a wonderful role model to look up to as so many of us did, and as much of a great athlete he was he was an even a better person.

Knew Larry as a tenacious, brilliant competitor on the JGHS basketball team. Cheered for him watching him at U of M too. He always seemed focused. We all were in awe of him as a person and athlete. Honored to have known you Larry! Bless you and your family.

It had nearly been 50 years since we reconnected. It was as though we picked up where we left off. We were planning a...
