Before I worked with Larry, he was just the "head bus driver" at Amway. I'd heard it over and over. It wasn't long before I realized he was even more. He was a great teacher. He taught me how important it was to keep my bus fueled and clean. He said on more than one occasion, "You never know when the big guy - Rich DeVos - will pay a visit." About ten months before I retired I had that experience when I did a run for Rich and Helen to celebrate the ten year anniversary of his new heart. Rich...

Mary & Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Larry was a wonderful person and I so enjoyed working with him at Amway. I will never forget when I backed up my shuttle bus into one of his stalls and crashed into his door. I was so afraid of what Larry would say that I was shaking, but Larry calmed me down. From that moment on, he was my friend, and forever will be remembered.

Larry was a person that always had a smile along with a hand shake. He made a lot of trips to the Amway hangar to pick up his passengers and was well know-en at the airport terminal along with the Amway motor coach. My sympathies to the family during this sad time.

I feel really sad to know that Larry died so young and suffered so much. His new little grand sons will miss out on a sweet grandpa to love and play with them. Sadly and loveingly missed, Beth Grochowalski

I had the priviledge to ride with Larry to an Indy car race in New Hampshire on the Amway motor coach. I fondly remember him cranking the music, especially the Moody Blues. We turned heads while waiting in traffic in Cleveland :) A consummate professional. He will be missed.
