RYAN, LARRY JOE – Of Grand Blanc, age 75, died Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Henry Ford Hospital surrounded by his family.


Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.


Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and 12 p.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.


Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.


Larry was born in Campbell, Missouri on June 2, 1947, the son of the late Hubert and Bessie (Redding) Ryan.


On August 14, 1965 he married his high school sweetheart, Ann Babcock in Flint, Michigan.


Mr. Ryan was employed by Buick Motor Division for 34 years as a Cam-Shaft Grinder.


He loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors and vacationing with his grandchildren on St. Mary’s River in the UP. Above all else, he loved being with his family.

Surviving are wife, Ann; children, Stephanie (Chuck) McCulley and Stephen (Linda) Ryan;


grandchildren, Curtis and fiancee’ Danielle Damon, Cody (Alyssa) Damon, Christina (Cort) Pettigrew, Courtney McCulley;


great-grandchildren, Hunter, Dylan, Parker, Troc, Teddy, Ayden, Cooper and Emery;


sister, Alma (Lloyd) Zachery;


brothers, Don (Sandy) Ryan and Jim Ryan;


brother-in-law, John (Sandy) Babcock;


sister-in-law, Michele Babcock;


special pet, Pepper;


many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bill Babcock.
