I just can't believe this. I was planning on surprising my ol' buddy and high school friend next month by showing up in Midland for the first time in just over 50 years. Larry and I became fast friends during 6th grade. I was a new transfer in and he was the guy who took the new kid under his wing. When I had to get glasses, he reassured me that it would be ok and how not too get scratches on the lenses. He was also in our school bands throughout Jr. High and High School as an alto sax player. I'm so very sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I'm a long-time customer of Natural Foods Market. Larry was very knowledgeable of every product in the store and always helped me find what I needed. He will be greatly missed.

I am so very sad and sorry to read about Larry's death. I love shopping in his store, and relied on his and other's expert advice. He will be sorely missed by more people than you'll ever know. Certainly by me. susie mauldin

My brother Robert Ross was a friend, college room mate at Tech. I always enjoyed seeing Larry when I was in Midland. My condolences to his family, Rest in peace Larry!

I played tennis with Larry during our sophomore and junior years at Lee High School, and remember him fondly. My condolences to his family.

What a sweet guy. Called on him for years as a sales rep. Had beautiful store. Will be missed.
