Not sure what to say?

To Larry's family. I went to school in Sedgwick, with Larry and was shocked at the news. Will miss him.

To the Shirk Family: May God's presence comfort you. Larry worked side by side with my husband, Mike, as an NBC scorer for 20 years. Larry was a kind, gentle man, a stickler for details, a delight to talk with, and a pleasure to know. We will miss him greatly. Blessings to you all

We were shocked to read of Larry's passing. We met him when he lived in El Dorado and were fortunate to remain friends after he moved. We are thankful we were able to attend a small gathering he had a few months ago. He will truly be missed.

To Larry's family,

I am saddened to hear of your loss. I knew Larry mostly as a professional but a friend as well. He was a very active member of our local Nuclear Medicine chapter. He was a great guy and an awesome NM tech. He will be missed! I am glad he had a bit of time to hopefully enjoy some retirement time. A great man, gone far to soon. I will miss you Larry!!!

Jan Elliott, Newton

Jeff, Lanny and Family,
My thoughts and prays are with you all during this time. Larry will be missed by all of us.

Dear Larry's family..I'm so sorry you have lost your Grandpa, Dad, Brother, Uncle, ..he was such a sincere, kind man. I too, befriended him while working at Riverside. We also golfed and downed a few beers together....while sorting out life, ha! He taught me a lot about golf and life. He hosted a Riverside reunion party..we loved it. He was always so open and gracious. He had a lovely home and we loved to see his latest wood working project. He had the cleanest, most organized garage I had...

I had the pleasure of meeting Larry when I worked at Riverside. He was such a great guy and a true friend to all he knew. He stoped in to visit me several months ago at Newton Medical Center and I am especially glad now that he did. It had been years since I'd last seen him. I will remember him with that cute little lopsided grin he usually wore.

I will miss Larry. We worked together at Riverside Health System and he was a great friend and teacher about his profession. I'll miss getting sweet Christmas cards from him each year and seeing him around the neighborhood. I never met anyone who loved and cherished his grandchildren more than Larry: he availed himself of any opportunity to tell all who would listen of their greatness. What a guy!

Larry & I worked together at Riverside Hospital for more than 10 years & I know what an important part of his life his son & grandkids were to him. My heart goes out to them & the rest of the Shirk families. He was a great man and will be missed by many, words can never express how highly I thought of Larry and how great a friend he was. May you rest in peace Larry.
