I am sorry to hear of your lose but know that God will heal your broken hearts in the days to come and he is in a much beter place and is with your mom.

In 1979 Larry brought home a cartoon portrait that some of the MSD Students had drawn of him. It was a Bull Dog dressed up as a police officer with his name on the badge. I laugh now when I think of that character cause it really described how he was as a house parent tough. He truly was a good father to all of his children even if he was a little stern. Our family is going to miss him so!!!! Thank you everyone for putting your thoughts into this Guest Book.

I will always remember his great laugh. He might have not been able to hear it but I sure could and It was a great one!!! He was always in a great mood and LOVED LIFE...that is what we are put on this earth too do and HE DID IT!!! LOVE YA LARRY!!!

I've known Larry Smith, who worked a housefather at MSD when I was graduted last '82 MSD. He was so nice man, doing a good job at MSD. My deep sypmathy and pray thought with you and your family!

My parents (Russell & Eleanor) and I used live nearby Larry just few blocks away from our home. I recall Larry used to be work at Coke Bottle Company. He got injury on his back and leave that company. He went to MSD and work as houseparents. ME and other MSD student alike Marty G, Marty M, Steve W. We are "roommate" in Steven Hall.
