Larry Soth

I was just informed about the passing of Larry and offer deep condolences to Susan and the family. Larry and I shared an office for several years early in his career when he was at Zion Station. We spent a lot of time and energy dealing with the issues affecting the Station but he always found time to talk abut his two loves, Susan and his Yorkie. We will all miss him.

My heart is deeply saddened. Larry and I are forever friends. I so admired him. Forever his Angel Face. I share your deep and lasting loss. Susan he loved you deeply and so loved you, his boys and your dogs.

I met Larry the first time I worked in downtown Chicago at the old Commonwealth Edison (now Exelon) offices. We later worked together in the Probabilistic Risk Assessment group on the Individual Plant Evaluations. He was a good guy and always helpful to those of us less experienced or knowledgeable. I had not kept in touch with him much since we both had left Exelon, except by the occasional e-mail. Even so, I am saddened by his passing and I know he will be missed.

As a former Exelon / ComEd employee, I go back with Larry to Zion Station, where he was an Operating Engineer, and then Assistant Sup't for Ops. I also remember him running the morning briefs with the stations in the old downtown Nuclear HQ, and running GSEP exercises in various EOFs. (His drills seemed to go more smoothly than the others!) I also worked with him in Risk Management. He became a self-taught Human Reliability Analysis expert. After he retired, we kept in touch via e-mail. ...

I worked with Larry in the Exelon Risk Management organization. He was a great coworker and will be missed.
