Not sure what to say?

I always read the 1960s Classnotes section of the Ball State Alumnus Magazine, but for some reason I did not read the July 2007 issue until today. That's when I found out that Larry Stuber had passed away in April.
I have known Larry since 1961 when he was dating my sorority pledge sister Janenne, and I attended their wedding in 1962. From 1965 to 1967, Larry and I taught together at Oak Hill High School; he was an English teacher and I taught Spanish, German and Journalism. Larry was...

I just learned of Uncle Larry's passing and wanted to add my sympathy and wishes to his family and friends. His was a life worth celebrating. He touched so many people in a positive way. I was not a star in drama or speach or debate, but Uncle Larry was one of the very few teachers who was open to the friendship of his students and believed in the best of all. My son is now in high school drama, and I have told him several stories about Uncle Larry. We TPed his house on Saturday night after a...

I can honestly say Doc was the most influential teacher I ever had. He was a wonderful coach, a superb mentor, and above all, a really good friend. I was devastated to hear the news of his passing but was somewhat comforted that he remained teaching to the very end as this was his passion. My condolences to Janenne and his two children.

So sorry to hear of Mr Stuber's passing. He was a great teacher and greatly loved by his students.

Dr. Stuber was the Judge for our LaPorte County 4-H Creative Writing project. I loved the way he not only judged the entries but he found time to come and show the members what he found and how they can make it better for next year. He also gave high praise to every member for their hard work. We will miss Dr. Stuber and all the wisdom he has sharred with us. This wisdom will be cherrished and passed on to future 4-H members. Thank you for the memories and wisdom. Beccy Seymour

My deepest sympathies to Doc Stuber's family. He was a great teacher and will be sorely missed. I know of numerous students, including my daughter, who were inspired and challenged by his coaching of the debate team. He was a great example of what good teaching is all about. He will be remembered by the many lives he touched in the classroom and on the debate team.

Doc was my favorite teacher. I am so sorry to hear that he has passed. I hope his family can take solace in the fact that he changed many, many lives for the better - including mine. He believed in me.

My deepest sympathy to the Stuber family. "Uncle Larry" was my mentor, my confident and the first teacher who made me believe in myself. He wrote countless recommendations and came to so many events in my life. I will miss his dry, but always enjoyable sense of humor. He was a passionate and dedicated person who was meant to be a high school teacher and coach. So many fond memories at Highland High....you will be missed, Uncle Larry!

Janenne and family,
You have our sympathy. Larry was a very talented teacher.
