Larry Dean Trusty, 65, of Sutherland, passed away at the University Of Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha, on Oct. 3, 2008.

He was born March 30, 1943, to Hallie and Mable (Strawder) Trusty east of Wallace. He attended Wallace High School and graduated with the Class of 1961.

He worked as a mechanic and at Oris Fuller Construction. He entered the United States Navy in 1963, after his honorable discharge he came back to Wallace where he worked for Hansen's Construction.

January 3, 1968, he married Darlene Tillman in North Platte, to this union four children were born. He worked for Kildare Lumber, also Griffin-Beatty Lumber. Eventually he started his own construction business, Trusty Construction.

He was in Trusty Construction for 30 years. After retiring from his construction business he went to work for Gerald Gentleman Power Plant. He officially retired March 30th of this year.

He loved farming with Greg Fleecs, running the corn picker and having his grandsons with him. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed by many friends and family.

Survivors include his wife Darlene of Sutherland; children, Jody (Gary) Grabowski of Chappell, Cody Trusty of Sutherland, Haly Trusty of Sutherland and L. Dean 'Friday' (Melissa) Trusty Jr. of Hershey; grandsons Austin, Kacy and Hunter Trusty, Ben and Sammy Grabowski; brother Clinton Trusty of Memphis, TN; sister Donna (Donald) Lundvall of Grant; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Robert, Leland, Sylvester, Allen, Roger; 2 sisters Virginia and Phyllis.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com.

Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2008 at Adams & Swanson Chapel. Burial will follow at the Wallace Cemetery with Military honors, graveside.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at Adams & Swanson Chapel. Adams & Swanson is in charge of the arrangements.

I am sorry to hear that Larry has passed. But, you know that he is
