Larry Van Fossen, 73, passed away on January 19, 2017 at his home. He was born June 21, 1943 to Lloyd and Winnie Van Fossen in Oakland, Ca. He attended Elbow Creek School, Visalia and graduated from Redwood High School, Visalia in 1961. Larry married Debbie Cochran February 20, 1993. They met Country Western Dancing, and were members of the Orange Blossom Special Country Western Dancers. Larry was a very good dancer and won several trophies.

Larry worked as a General Contractor in Visalia for many years. He had a real love of animals of all types. He was known to be a gentle soul to all who knew him. His family and friends knew him as a hardworking and honest man of his word. He would help any soul in need.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Winnie Van Fossen and his brother Roland Van Fossen. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie, brother Arlen Van Fossen of Fresno, sister Sandra Penner of Clovis, son Christopher Van Fossen of Kentucky, daughters Kimberly Aldrich and April Van Fossen, both of Visalia. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Benjamin and Victoria Van Fossen, Jessmyne Rodriguez, Kirsten Aldrich, Jory and Ethan Olivarez and 3 great-grandchildren. And his beloved dogs, Katie and Coco.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the First Church of God, 833 N. Blackstone St., Tulare, CA 93274. A Reception will follow at the same location.
