Larry E. Wells, 56, of Topeka passed away at his home on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011. He was born Sept. 29, 1955 in Topeka; the son of Charles and Marie Ely Wells. He played football in high school and graduated from Seaman High School with the class of 1973. He owned Larry Wells Construction Co. Larry was a huge K-State fan, and loved his grandsons. He was married to Lynne on November 4, 1978 in Las Vegas, she survives at their home in Topeka. He is also survived by his children, Branden Wood and wife Lisa and their sons, Keegan, Carsen and Brayden, Justin Wood, Heidi Lokke and husband Scott and their son, Brekken, and a new son on the way, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his mother, Marie Wells of Topeka; brothers, Charles Wells, Jr., David Wells and Wayne Wells all of Topeka and his sister Vickie Sims of Topeka. Mr. Wells will lie in state from 12-9 on Friday where the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 29th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association. I am so sorry to hear about Larry. I remember some fun times back in the old days when John and I would come back to Topeka to visit our friends and family. My heart goes out to you knowing the pain you are suffering. Just always remember the wonderful and fun times you shared and know the Lord will walk with you through the rough times.
